ARRIGO FOUR BALL – Begins 5/21

The Palm Beach County Golf Association will host seven team events in 2021. The 40th Frances V. Arrigo Memorial Four Ball, sponsored by longtime supporters, Jim and John Arrigo,  will be hosted at PGA Golf Club | PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The competition will consist of Open (49 and younger), Senior (50-59) and Super Senior (60+) contests with points awarded towards each of the PBCGA Points Races: Open Points Cup, Senior Points Cup and the Super Senior Points Cup.

The event will consist of a 54-hole Four-Ball Stroke Play Championship (two person teams), played over three days (Friday May 21 – Sunday May 23). Approximately 40 teams will tee-it-up and compete in the following formats:

First Round: Two Man Scramble – Both players tee off on every hole. The team determines the tee shot they would like to play. Both players hit from the chosen position. This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole, including putts.

Second Round: Modified Alternate Shot– Both players tee off on every hole. You then play your partner’s drive for your second shot. After second shots have been played, one ball is selected to complete the hole and that ball must be played alternately until holed out.

Final Round: Better Ball– Both players play their own ball and the lower score of the partners is the score for the hole.
