Students Supported by the PBCGA Scholarship & Mentorship Fund

In partnership with Take Stock in Children Palm Beach County, the following deserving students have received a tuition scholarship to attend the college of their choice:

The mission of Take Stock in Children Palm Beach County is to passionately promote self-worth, personal responsibility and academic success for qualified, financially at risk students in Palm Beach County by providing a unique set of resources which includes mentors, college readiness and a guaranteed post-secondary full-tuition college scholarship. With the support of our sponsors we can provide mentors, scholarships and hope to Florida’s youth. Take Stock in Children was established in 1995 as a non-profit organization in Florida that provides a unique opportunity for deserving low-income youth/students, many from minority families, to escape the cycle of poverty through education. We offer our students college scholarships, caring volunteer mentors and hope for a better life. Our comprehensive services start in middle school, continue through high school and include their transition into college.

“I would like to thank you immensely for your generous gift. Because of your gratitude, I am able to attend a university stress free when it comes to finances (unfortunately stress is still a burden when it comes to assignments). I don’t know how to thank you enough. You have given me hope to a better, brighter future. I promise to use this awarded money to the best of my abilities. I was recently invited into a three year program, where I can acquire my masters in four years without changing the cost of my tuition. I will continue to work hard and maintain my 4.0. My biggest hope is that the association can see that they invested their money into a wonderful program where lives are being changed. Thanks again for changing mine.”

“I’d love to take the time to write a small thank you note to those who are making my future goals reachable. Honestly, I have loved my college journey so far. It’s opened my mind to a lot of things, it’s opened up my heart and my imagination. This journey is definitely something I’ll remember my whole life and it would not be possible without you. I thank you for helping not only me out, but everyone you’ve helped financially so they can better their lives. I believe in karma and blessings and you have good things coming your way if it hasn’t come already. Once again, thank you so much!”
