Come out and support a great event with a great cause! The American Junior Golf Association is hosting a fundraising tournament with proceeds benefiting three great charities (PBCGA Scholarship Fund, AJGA ACE Grant and the South Florida PGA Foundation). With your support, we can team up with PBCGA Alumni Daniel Berger and give back to South Florida and the great game of golf!

Why Play?

The AJGA’s Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant financial assistance program provides opportunities for juniors who have the talent, but not the financial resources, to play in AJGA events. The ACE Grant relies one hundred percent on contributions from corporate and private donors, as well as Junior-Am proceeds.

Since its inception in 2003, the AJGA has awarded 830 ACE Grants and reimbursed $1.5 million, helping talented juniors compete in over 3,300 AJGA events.

In 2012 alone, 165 junior golfers received more than $357,000 in reimbursement and achieved 117 top ten AJGA finishes. The total value of college scholarships that ACE Grant recipients received in 2012 topped $2.4 million.

Palm Beach County Golf Association Scholarship Fund

Since 1976, the Palm Beach County Golf Association has awarded over $350,000 to 135 area college students to help with their college education. These scholarships have helped students pay for tuition, books and other fees so that they could be more dedicated to their studies.

Since 2010, the PBCGA has partnered with Take Stock in Children – Palm Beach County to provide tuition scholarships to attend the Florida state college of their choice. Take Stock in Children is a statewide mentoring/scholarship program. The program enrolls middle school, low-income students and helps them succeed by providing college and vocational scholarships, volunteer mentors, student advocates, early intervention and long-term support.

Scholarship recipients and their parents sign a performance contract pledging to stay in school, remain drug free, and out of trouble. Upon successful completion of the program, the students receive either a 2-year or a 2+2 scholarship purchased through the Florida Prepaid College Program.

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and members, the PBCGA has donated over $100,000 to the Take Stock in Children program since 2010.

South Florida PGA Foundation

The South Florida PGA Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded to support the South Florida community, with a focus on junior golf, education and scholarships, and charitable gifting. The South Florida PGA Foundation falls under the direction of the South Florida PGA, a not-for-profit organization comprised of over 1,800 men and women PGA Professionals serving as the experts in business and the game of golf.

In 2004 the South Florida PGA Foundation began operations as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded to support the South Florida community.  Since its inception, the Foundation has experienced extreme growth through the support of more than 1,800 PGA Professionals, 460 facilities, and numerous corporations.  Over the past thirteen years the Foundation has touched the lives of more than 12,000 individuals residing in South Florida, through various programming included but not limited to junior golf, charitable gifting, and scholarships.
