The PBCGA Amateur Four-Ball Championship is a regional tournament for amateur golf competitors played by "sides" of two golfers. Play is conducted using a four-ball format, where the lowest score by either player on each hole is the score for the side. It is operated by the Palm Beach Golf Association (PBCGA).
The Amateur Four-Ball Championship features 54 holes of four-ball stroke play with the following formats: Scramble | Modified Alternate Shot | Best Ball.
The event highlights the best team of golfers in Palm Beach and greater South Florida, with the top competitors earning points in the season-long player of the year points races. The event hosts three competition divisions: Open / Senior (50-59) / Super Senior (60+).
The tournament was founded in 1982, expanding on the County Amateur, another tournament conducted by the Palm Beach Golf Association, which itself was founded in 1976 as demand pushed for an amateur four-ball event in Palm Beach County.
