23rd Palm Beach INTL Stableford
23rd Palm Beach INTL Stableford
The 23rd Stableford Championship will be the fifth event on the 2024 Palm Beach County Golf Association Schedule. The 36-hole Individual Modified Stableford Championship, will be played over two days (Saturday June 1 – Sunday June 2). Approximately 72 players will tee-it-up and compete for the most points with hopes to be declared the winner.
The event will be hosted at The Cape Club of Palm City in Palm City, Florida.
The competition will consist of Open (49 and younger), Senior (50-59) and Super Senior (60+) contests with points awarded towards each of the PBCGA Point Cup Races presented by The Golf Crypt, Jupiter: Open Points Cup , Senior Points Cup and the Super Senior Points Cup .
The scoring in Stableford competitions is made by points awarded in relation to a fixed score at each hole as follows:
HOLE PLAYED AT |
POINTS |
Double Bogey or worse |
(-) 1 |
Bogey |
1 |
Par |
2 |
Birdie |
4 |
Eagle |
6 |
Albatross |
8 |
The modification to the scoring comes into play if a Double Bogey or worse is carded on a a hole. In normal stableford competitions, this score would produce zero (0) points, but as an added challenge, the modified scoring will subtract 1 point from the players total points awarded for their round. Low number of strokes taken each hole will produce more points and a high number of strokes taken will have the potential to erase points previously earned.
Tournament Field is Limited, register early to secure your entry!
